The next courses are planned:
HAZOP study Awareness of potential hazards
Monday March 11, 2019 in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands
A thorough hazard identification is essential! The HAZOP study is seen as the best method to ‘catch’ the potential hazards that lie in a process installation.
You will learn the methodology and which aspects are important for a successful HAZOP study.
LOPA and SIL classification Risk management
Tuesday March 12, 2019 in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands
Risks are determined and managed using a risk graph or risk matrix. The course is based on the LOPA issues of CCPS and IEC 61511:2016 part3.
You will learn about the methodology, how failure frequencies and risk reductions are determined and when a barrier gives risk reduction. You will be able to determine the SIL of an instrumental safeguard.
SIL verification & SIF validation Instrumented Safeguards
Wednesday March 13, 2019 in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands
Instrumental safeguards can make the difference between life and death. The course is based on IEC 61508:2010 and IEC 61511:2016.
You will learn about the IEC-61511 and how it is tested whether instrumental protection is sufficiently reliable. Not only the design is important, also the physical testing after realization. You learn that SIL means much more than calculating a failure probability.
